We are excited to share that we are ready to start the first phase of the launch: Name Reservation Requests. This phase is designed to protect businesses and well-known entities in the Avalanche ecosystem from squatting attempts. We will begin reaching out to businesses next week.
We have set up infrastructure for creating an Avvy account. Your account will connect your wallet to an email address, which will serve as our primary method of communicating with you. Important communications such as domain expiry notices and notices of domain disputes will be delivered via this communication method.
As mentioned above, we have also set up infrastructure for processing Name Reservation Requests. Businesses and other entities that have concerns abut squatting can use this tool to get verified and skip the auction. Most users should wait for the fair-launch auction which will follow shortly.
