Today we announce a big change: Avvy will be closing down. As one of the original applications to launch on the Avalanche C-Chain, we have served the Avalanche community for many years. This decision reflects our continued commitment to the Avalanche community and its expansion as a globally renowned network. As of this morning registrations have been marked closed and we will begin the process of sunsetting services.
This announcement marks the end of a great era but also the beginning of a new one. In coordination with Ava Labs, AVAX names will continue on through a partnership with D3 and Doma Protocol who will take the project to the next stages. The D3 team's DNS-specific knowledge makes them an excellent fit for carrying on this project, ensuring continuity and growth.
D3 is building the world’s first blockchain network to tokenize 364M+ existing and future domains as real-world assets. The network is built on Doma Protocol, a decentralized infrastructure that bridges traditional Internet domains (.com, .net, .ai, .org) and future domain extensions from the Web3 world (.sol, .avax, .shib, .ape). Backed by Paradigm, the D3 team consists of domain industry veterans with over three decades of collective experience, known for leading domain name monetization, internet protocols, and various TLD operations including .xyz, .inc, .tv, and .link.
Avvy users will be able to migrate their names to the new platform by following some key steps. In order to migrate you must complete all the migration steps.
Important steps start today and must be completed by November 12th, 2025. Users who do not complete all steps will not be able to migrate to the new protocol.
See our Migration Guide for more details.
Be sure to follow Doma Protocol to ensure you do not miss any important migration steps.
If you have any questions about Avvy feel free to reach out to us on our Discord or Telegram.
If you have questions about Doma Protocol they have set up an FAQ page.

We want to thank you for your support over these years and are looking forward to the new growth of the system.
